This hotkey has received a 5 star rating on Highend3D and is super helpful. It will toggle the viewing of isolate select. That means, by simply hitting a key, everything on your screen disappears except for the selected object. Hit the key again, and it all comes back. This does not effect your visibility settings and thus does not effect your renders.
