Autodesk ranked people worldwide and recognized the three top people for their mastery of the software, their knowledge of the industry, and their overall contributions to the 3D industry as a whole.  The candidates include everyone from film to games to architects to industrial designers.

Ontario Premier’s Award, 2005.

This Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to TJ Galda in 2005 for his accomplishments and contributions.  The Government of Ontario honour the important social and economic contributions that college graduates make to Ontario, and present an honourary award to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution.  Other recipients in 2005 included the Honourable Bob Rae (Ontario’s 21rst Premier) and Mary Jo Haddad (President and CEO of The Hospital for Sick Children).

This award allowed TJ to set up a bursary for the Digital Animation program at Centennial College (from which he earned his Digital Animation Certificate) that has awarded $5000 to worthy students to date, for promise and potential in the digital animation field. TJ Galda has worked on projects which have accumulated a total of five Emmy® Awards and one Academy Award® nomination, as well as countless Annies, VGAs (including Game of the Year) and other awards.

TJ was nominated for these awards, given to the 50 most influential and outstanding alumni from the University of Waterloo.  The award is to be given out to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the prestigious university.
